Description
The XSSM is a surface-to-surface, supersonic, long-range, anti-ship missile developed from the XASM-3 missile. The XSSM will equip the future destroyers and surface combatants of the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF) to be commissioned in the 2020s and beyond. The new missile is expected to have a maximum range of 100-to-200 kilometers cruising at a top speed of Mach 3.
