Description
The United States of America (USA) Army Advanced Hypersonic Weapon (AHW) is an hypersonic glider to be delivered into space by an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM). The AHW glider is being developed as part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Prompt Global Strike program. The first test launch was carried out on November 17, 2011.
