Description

The Russian Army Pterodactyl is a small unmanned air vehicle to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities for the T-14 main battle tank (MBT). The Pterodactyl is connected to the tank using a wire/cable which allows transmitting critical data in stealth mode up to 10 kilometers away. The drone can reach a maximum altitude of several dozen meters. The existence of this new drone was announced in late 2016 and may enter service in 2017 or 2018.
