Description

The Land-to-Sea Missile is a Japanese program at developing a long-range, land-based anti-ship missile with an operational range of 300 kilometers. These new missiles will be intended to protect the Japanese inhabited Islands from the threat posed by the Chinese fleet beginning in 2023. The missile will be fueled by solid propellant and its development is expected to start in 2018. The existence of the Land-to-Sea Missile program was revealed in August 2016.
