AN/APX-100(V)
The AN/APX-100(V) is an L-band airborne Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) Mark XII secondary surveillance radar transponder, operating at an interrogation frequency of 1030 MHz and a reply frequency of 1090 MHz. Manufactured by Raytheon E-Systems in the United States, this system is fully solid-state and modularly constructed, providing full Level 3 Mode S and Global Positioning System (GPS) position reporting capabilities. It functions as a complete diversity transponder system, utilizing both top and bottom-mounted antennas, and operates on a primary voltage input ranging from 18 to 30 Volts. The unit has a peak power of 500 W, an average power of 5 W, and a Mean Time Between Critical Failures (MTBCF) of 2,000 hours.
