Description

The Haazem is a multi-role drone capable of performing as a reconnaissance unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV); strike UAV carrying missiles and other weapons for ground bombardment; or target drone for the air defense systems. The Haazem is equipped with a high resolution camera to take pictures and send them back in real-time to ground control stations or other platforms. This system was developed by Iran under its domestic weapons program started in 1992 as a response to the United States arms embargo. Iran unveiled the Haazem in 2012 claiming that had been provided to air defense units.
