Description

The US Army’s XM204 Top Attack Munition is an anti-vehicle terrain shaping system designed to self-destruct minimizing collateral damage. The weapon system is assumed to rely on acoustic, seismic and magnetic sensors for target acquisition. The XM204 can be deployed by dismounted troops and features standoff and top attack capabilities. Each XM204 weapon station is equipped with four anti-vehicle top attack munitions. The US Army awarded the first low rate production contract in 2022 and the XM204 weapon station was ready for fielding in support of counter-mobility missions in April 2025.
