Description
The MM/SPN-753 “Gemant” (manufacturer's designation: LD-1825) is a robust naval surface search and navigation radar, operating at 3,050 MHz (F-band) or in the I-band. It features a plot extractor and provides Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA), with an instrumented range of 40 nautical miles (74 km), a 2° beamwidth, and an antenna rotation speed of 22 revolutions per minute. This radar has replaced the MM/SPN-748 in service with the Italian Navy and is installed on the “Bigliani,” “Corrubia,” and “Zara” classes of large patrol craft operated by Italy’s Guardia di Finanza.
