SLC-7 Chinese 3D Long-Range Surveillance Radar
SLC-7

The SLC-7 Chinese 3D Long-Range Surveillance Radar is a fourth-generation intelligence radar capable of detecting, tracking, and engaging multiple targets simultaneously. It boasts several advantages, including a long detection range, high data rate, adaptive anti-jamming features, quick target identification, and high reliability. In addition to detecting stealth aircraft, the SLC-7 can locate conventional fixed-wing aircraft, helicopters, drones, artillery, and rockets, which enhances its versatility compared to many similar radars, according to its developer. The radar is also noted for its high mobility, allowing it to be quickly relocated to fill gaps in the early warning detection network or to complement fixed arrays for improved tracking performance. According to the State Administration of Science, Technology, and Industry for National Defense (SASTIND), the SLC-7 operates in the L-band and features two standout characteristics: exceptional anti-interference capability and the ability to operate autonomously.
