Description

The BOXER family of coherent ground surveillance radars, manufactured by Kelvin Hughes Surveillance Ltd., serves as a primary sensor for land-based threat detection. Operating in the X-band frequency range (9.0-9.5 GHz), these solid-state radars are designed for defense, paramilitary, and security applications, offering low power consumption, high reliability, and easy integration with electro-optical systems. The BOXER's SharpEye™ technology, combined with advanced Doppler processing and an electronically scanned phased array, provides unique scanning options including electronic beam steering, continuous all-round scanning, and stare capability, enabling real-time detection of small, slow-moving targets in challenging conditions over instrumented ranges of 3, 6, 12, 24, and 48 km with a range resolution of 40m and a 2-degree beamwidth. Variants include the portable BOXER MPS for personnel and vehicles, the deployable BOXER MDS for extended missions, and the fixed-installation BOXER MIS for critical infrastructure protection.
