The Start-1M is an upgraded variant unveiled in April 2023 with the ability of lifting payloads of 150-700 kg to altitudes of 200-1,500 kilometers. The first launch of the Start-1M rocket is slated for 2026. The new mobile space launch system is a derivative of the Topol-M ICBM.
