Description

The 2S43 Malva is a 152mm self-propelled howitzer mounted on 8x8 wheeled chassis and intended for use by the Russian Army and foreign customers. The 2S43 uses the 152mm 2A64 cannon from the MSTA-S tracked self-propelled howitzer. Some reports that uses the 2A88 cannon from the 2S35 howitzer but seems unlikely. The 2S43 howitzer project was launched in 2019 and entered testing in 2021 with the fielding of the new weapon system within the Russian Army in 2023-2024. In 2023-2024, the Russian Army was taking delivery of two/four batches of Malva howitzers annually with approximately 40/20 systems delivered per batch.
