Description

Beginning in 2016, the US Army's Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicles (ICV) were being fitted with the MCT-30 weapon station sporting a 30mm automatic cannon instead of the 12.7mm cannon. The new variant is called Dragoon Stryker or ICV-D. The US Army European Command (EUCOM) units were first equipped with the new Dragoon Stryker in December 2017. The new variant is intended to fight against Russian-made BMP armored vehicles which typically are fitted with 30mm or 100mm cannons. A consortium led by Oshkosh Corporation will upgrade 600-700 vehicles through 2027.
