Description
The Wing Loong 10 is a high altitude long range (HALE) unmanned aircraft system developed by China’s AVIC to conduct maritime meteorological observation missions. The Wing Loong 10 took to the skies in November 2021 carrying millimeter-wave cloud radar and a Terahertz ice-cloud detector. The turbofan powered Wing Loong 10 is a further evolution of the Yunying, Cloud Shadow, unmanned aircraft introduced in 2016. China plans to develop new payloads for the high speed unmanned aircraft in order to provide surveillance overs its coastline.
