Description

The S-500F is a ship-based version of the S-500 ultra long-range air defense system intended for the Russian Navy next generation destroyer called Leader class. The S-500 is intended to engage aircraft and ballistic missiles at very long ranges. The S-500 should be deployed in the 2020-2025 timeframe.
