Description
The NASA’s Geostationary Extended Observations (GeoXO) is a next generation weather satellite constellation for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). Lockheed Martin was selected by NASA to build the new constellation in June 2024 through a $2.27 billion. The contract includes three satellites with an option for a fourth satellite. The first satellite is expected to be launched in the early 2030s and the constellation should be withdrawn from service in the late 2050s.
