Description

The 77YA6 «Voronezh-M» is a modern Russian early warning radar operating in the VHF band (150-200 MHz) in the Leningrad area. It employs a planar phased array antenna with an azimuth coverage from 245 to 355 degrees and an elevation coverage from 2 to 70 degrees. The radar has an instrumented range of 100 to 4,200 km, detecting targets such as ballistic and aerodynamic cruise missiles up to an altitude of 4,200 km. Its antenna field can be heated to prevent snow accumulation from affecting performance in extreme winter conditions.
