Description
The Rubez-ME is tactical coastal missile defense system based upon a high mobility 8x8 truck system carrying the fire control radar and four Kh-35UE anti-ship missiles. Each vehicle can operate isolated or as part of an eight vehicle pack with up to 32 anti-ship missiles. The system has been designed to operate in littoral environments with the Kh-35UE missile being able to hit surface ships at distances of up to 260 kilometers. The Rubez-ME radar system can locate a surface ship at a range of up to 100 kilometers in active mode. Operating as a passive radar system it can detect a surface ship at a distance of up to 450 kilometers.
