Description
The Walrus-class conventional-powered submarines were conceived to perform open sea warfare. They feature 4 533mm torpedo tubes for up to 20 Mk48 torpedoes and Harpoon anti-ship missiles. These ship can perform anti-submarine, anti-surface warfare missions as well as surveillance, reconnaissance and special operations missions. The Royal Netherlands Navy ordered 4 Walrus-class submarines.
