Description

The Gukol-1, manufactured by Phazotron Scientific and Production Company, is an X-band coherent airborne radar system. It is designed to provide meteorological and navigation support for lightweight aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and helicopters, as well as for air patrolling and search-and-rescue operations. Operating with a peak power of 0.5 kW and an instrumented range of 190 nautical miles (350 km), the system has a mean time between critical failures (MTBCF) of 2,500 hours. The Gukol-1 meets the requirements of the international standard ARINC 708, with series production commencing in 1999.
