Description

The US Air Force (USAF) Mayhem is a hypersonic cruise missile developed from the Hypersonic Air-Breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC) demonstrator being carried out by DARPA and USAF. The Mayhem Mach 7 hypersonic strike weapon existence was revealed in October 2020. It is expected to feature downscaled performance compared with the AGM-183A long-range hypersonic cruise missile which can be released by the B-52H bomber. The Mayhem may be intended for release by the F-15EX fighter jet and other tactical aircraft.
