Description
The Il-212 is a new light tactical transport aircraft develop as the replacement for the An-26 and An-72 transport aircraft operated within Russia. The new airplane prototype is expected to be delivered at the end of 2026 with the maiden flight projected in 2027. The Il-212 transport aircraft should enter service around the year 2030. The aircraft is expected to take the place of the doomed Il-112V transport aircraft.
