Description

The Chinese Global Cruise Missile, unofficial name, is a new high altitude hypersonic cruise missile tested by China in August 2021. The new missile has an estimated range of 40,000 kilometers which translates into unlimited range compared with the size of the Earth. It is said that travels at a speed of Mach 11 with a nuclear reactor based propulsion. The missile is placed into Low Earth Orbit by a Long March 2C space launch system. The first test of the new weapon was reported in October 2021 but the missile missed its target by 30 kilometers. It is assumed that China will improve the new missile accuracy by means of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Officially China claims that the new weapon a new spacecraft that underwent first trials.
