Design
It is an oddly shaped landmine that resembles a seed from a maple tree.
One end is bulbous and contains the liquid-explosive filler, while the other end is thin and serves as a stabilizer when the landmine is scattered from the air.
Fuze
In the center of the landmine body, is a cylindrical fuze made mostly of aluminum. The lower end of the fuze mixes the liquid sensitizer with the Nitro-paraffin liquid, with the detonator and the booster in the center and a spring-loaded striker mechanism in the upper end.
Explosive
Inside the bulbous portion of the landmine exists a Nitro-paraffin liquid-explosive and a sensitizer capsule that mix and form a detonator-sensitive explosive mixture.
Note
The Russian PFM-1 was based on the design of the Dragon's Tooth.
