Description
The Brazilian Army ASTROS 2020 rocket artillery system is the sixth generation ASTROS, ASTROS Mk 6, multiple launch rocket system (MLRS). The ASTROS 2020 weapon system will feature the new AV-TM 300 tactical cruise missile to engage ground targets with high accuracy from distances of up to 300 kilometers. The new weapon system will be provided with ASTROS Mk 6 launching vehicles as well as upgraded ASTROS Mk 3 launchers to the Mk 6 standard. The ASTROS Mk 6 multi-caliber, precision artillery system is expected to enter service with the Brazilian Army by 2020.
