Description

The US Air Force Gray Wolf is a new subsonic cruise missile developed to take down integrated air defense systems using networked collaborative operations technologies. The Gray Wolf technology demonstrator should be ready for operational use by 2025. The missile may be intended a sort of a silver bullet against state-of-the-art air defense systems such as the Russian S-400. Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control and Northrop Grumman were awarded a $110 million development contract each for the Gray Wolf cruise missile technology demonstrator covering design, development, manufacture, and testing on December 18, 2017.
