Yak-152
Yak-152
Russia's Irkut Corporation is meant to assemble four Yak-152 prototypes beginning in September 2014: two for flight trials, one for static tests and the fourth for fatigue testing. The prototypes will be delivered by the end of October 2015 and the trials program will complete by September 2016. The new trainer would be declared operational with the Russian Air Force by the end of November 2016. In addition to the Ministry of Defense, the new Yak-152 will serve with paramilitary sports organization DOSAAF and other civilian organizations. The Russian Air Force training program will start with MAI-223 Kityonok ultra-light aircraft, followed by the Yak-152 basic turboprop aircraft and finally pilots will transfer onto the Yak-130 advanced training jet. The Yak-152 will be provided with a retractable tricycle landing gear, powered by a German turboprop engine with the crew using SKS-94M ejection system.
