Description
The Northrop Grumman Firebird is a manned/unmanned airborne platform capable of staying airborne for up to 30 hours at an altitude of 25,000-ft.The aircraft can be outfitted with a wide range of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) payloads such as electro-optical, infrared sensors, radar and communications intelligence equipment. Sensors can be replaced within hours allowing for outstanding operational flexibility. The Firebird is powered by a single turboprop engine driving a three-blade propeller located at the rear fuselage. In addition the aircraft is equipped with both Line-Of-Sight (LOS) and Beyond-Line-Of-Sight (BLOS) data-links.
