Delilah

The Delilah is an air-launched, long-range, day/night, electro-optical missile designed to engage time critical moving and re-locatable targets on land or sea with minimum collateral damage. The spectrum of targets for Delilah missile includes air defense systems, surface ships and surface-to-surface missile systems such as tactical ballistic missile launchers. IMI developed the Delilah for integration on the Israeli Air Force (IAF) F-16 and F-15E strike aircraft. Besides, its modular and lightweight design allows for integration of a variety of warheads to match multiple combat scenarios and mission requirements. The basic Delilah missile is powered by a turbojet engine allowing for a 250 km maximum range and loitering capability. It can be launched from either ground-based platforms, surface ships or helicopters using a rocket booster. The advanced navigation system combines the GPS satellite positioning and Inertial Navigation System (INS) to provide a near autonomous mode of operation which only requires a man in the loop for target validation. A built-in data link allows the weapon system operator intervention and target validation.
