Yushan

The Yushan is a landing ship designed and built by the CSBC Corporation to meet the requirements of the Taiwanese Navy. The Yushan has been designed to perform amphibious warfare, transportation and humanitarian relief. It can transport a battalion of 673 Marines along helicopters, amphibious assault vehicles, landing crafts, trucks and light tactical vehicles. The 10,000-ton class vessel features a stealth design to minimize her radar signature as well as a 76mm naval gun, two Tien Chien-2N (Sky Sword IIN) surface-to-air missile systems (16 missiles) or eight Hsiung Feng II anti-ship missiles, and two Phalanx close-in weapon systems. The Yushan’s construction started in 2019, was launched in April 2021 and is expected to be commissioned within 2022. Taiwan may require up to four vessels of this class.
