Description
The Project 02450, also known as BK-10, is a high-speed transport and landing craft developed by Kalashnikov for operations in the coastal zone allowing for landings of up to 10 troops. The BK-10 high-speed boats also provide fire support, medical evacuation, disaster relief and fighting piracy and terrorism. The boats feature armored compartments to protect the engines and the landing personnel. A single boat can be equipped with four 7.62mm machine guns or four 12.7mm machine guns. The boat can reach speeds of 40 knots and has a maximum cruising range of 400 nautical miles (700+ kilometers). With a crew of two, the vessel can operate in shallow waters.
