Description

The Lakshya is an unmanned air vehicle (UAV) developed by Indian DRDO agency and manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the Armed Forces of India. HAL started the manufacturing of the Lakshya-1 UAV in 2006-2007 delivering 30 UAV systems until 2012. The Indian Air Force (IAF) took delivery of 15 UAVs, the Indian Navy took delivery of five UAVs and the remaining 10 UAVs were handed over to the DRDO. There are no plans to sell the Lakshya-1 UAV to export customers.
