Description
The Tork is an anti-torpedo torpedo being developed by Aselsan to neutralize incoming torpedoes that could endanger surface ships. The Tork features active homing guidance and detonates in close proximity of the incoming torpedo thus neutralizing it. The new weapon features modular architecture and can be integrated with soft-kill torpedo countermeasures. The Tork program existence was revealed in 2015 and is expected to be deployed in the early 2020s.
