Description
The Mig-50 is a prospective hypersonic fighter being developed in Russia to the meet the requirements of the Russian Aerospace Forces. It is unknown if the Mig-50 encompasses the Mig-41 development work or it is a new design within a different scope. The Mig-50 is expected to rely on stealth technology and hypersonic speed to overcome any existing or future air defense system. This sixth or seventh generation aircraft is expected to conduct both air defense and strike missions. The Mig-50 hypersonic fighter existence was revealed by the Chinese media in August 2021.
