Type Anti-Vehicle Mine

Pressure Plate There is no mechanical link between the pressure plate and the mechanism, but the bulkhead has a very small bleed-hole in it, below which is a diaphragm that bears on the mechanical fuze assembly. The mechanism is similar to that used in the Italian SB-81 and consists of a spring-loaded striker with lugs retained against the ramps of a rotating collar.
Note The well in the base of the landmine accepts a reinforced stab-sensitive M41 detonator assembly and is sealed with a blue plastic plug during transit.
