Scanter 1002
The Scanter 1002 is a Ku-band ground surveillance radar designed for security optimization and protection of critical infrastructure, including airports, power plants, borders, camps, and harbors. Operating with a peak power of 8 W and an instrumented range of 12 km, it provides comprehensive meter-by-meter coverage both inside and outside a physical perimeter. The system simultaneously detects and tracks slow-moving objects, such as humans or animals, and fast-moving objects, like landing aircraft, with an accuracy of less than 5 meters and 2 degrees. Its continuous antenna rotation, adjustable from 12 to 60 rpm, covers an area of 452 square kilometers, and it employs pulse compression techniques to minimize the resolution cell, with a blind range of approximately 20 meters. The Scanter 1002 is also capable of detecting small, non-cooperative boat traffic and waterborne threats transitioning to land, with its digital plot extractor maintaining up to 100 tracks. The radome measures 500 mm in diameter and 850 mm in height.
