The Angara 1.2, also known as Angara 1.2PP, is a small-lift space launch vehicle comprising a single Common Rocket Module (CRM) and the Rockot upper stage. This launch vehicle has been designed to put payloads of up to 3,700 kg into low-Earth orbit at altitudes of 200 kilometers and 63-degree of inclination with a maximum lift-off mass of 171 tons. The Rockot upper stage is 2.5 x 2.62 meters in diameter and 6.74 meters in length or alternatively 3.7 meters in diameter and 9.83 meters in length. The Angara 1.2PP is the slightly longer and heavier than the Angara 1.1 space launch vehicle. The first launch was carried on July 9, 2014, from Plesetsk, and the second one on April 30, 2022. The third launch was carried out on October 15, 2022. The rocket was used to test the Angara A5 core rocket body. The last launch was conducted on September 17, 2024. Beginning in 2025 the Angara 1.2PP will take the place of the Soyuz-2.1b rocket. As of April 23, 2026, Angara 1.2 rocket had logged 8 launches.
