Description
The Ka-52M is an upgraded variant of the Ka-52 combat scout helicopter equipped with a mast mounted radar for improved target acquisition and a new generation of air-to-surface missiles. The Ka-52M missiles referred to as Object 305 or Izdeliye 305 have a range of 100 kilometers and can engage both ground and sea targets. The Russian Armed Forces are expected to get the new aircraft in the early 2020s. The first batch of 10 upgraded aircraft were delivered in January 2023.
