Description

The IVS-167 is an experimental K-band radar transceiver, operating between 24.0 and 24.5 GHz, designed for industrial, scientific, and medical (ISM) applications requiring short-range detection. It utilizes direct conversion into the baseband. The user can modulate the transmitter within the freely usable ISM band, enabling operation as a Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar. It supports linear asymmetric or symmetric frequency modulation for distance measurement, offering an instrumented range from 10 meters to over 200 meters with a range resolution of 30 cm and an accuracy of 3 cm. Additionally, Frequency Shift Keying (FSK) modulation provides extreme accuracy at close ranges, all within an 11-degree beamwidth and an average power of 1 mW.
