Description

The Royal Thai Navy Sichang or Type PS700 class landing craft have been designed to deliver up to 350 fully equipped marines onto enemy shores as well as 850 tons of equipment. The ship facilities include an aft deck allowing for operations by an helicopter. The ship's propulsion system features two diesel engines developing 9,600-bhp and a top speed of 16 knots. The Sichang ship is equipped with a 40mm gun, two 20mm guns and two 12.7mm machine guns. The Royal Thai Navy commissioned two Sichang landing crafts in 1987 and 1992.
