Description

The UMT is a small size, lightweight torpedo developed by the Tactical Missiles Corporation of Russia to counter underwater drones and other submersible threats. The 100 kilograms torpedo is 2 meters long, has a 220-millimeter diameter, achieves a top speed of 27 knots and has a maximum range of 7 kilometers. The UMT torpedo warhead consists of 35 kilograms of high explosive (HE) detonating with no contact. The weapon features self-targeting capability. The UMT torpedo was unveiled in late June 2023.
