Description

The SOM-B2 low observable cruise missile has a range in excess of 100 nautical miles equipped with a dual stage tandem penetrating warhead. The guidance system is based upon a combination of inertial navigation system (INS), global positioning system (GPS), terrain reference navigation (TRN), Image Based Navigation (IBN), Infrared Imaging Seeker plus automatic target acquisition (ATA). The TuAF has deployed the SOM-B2 cruise missile on its F-4E and F-16C/D Block 40 jets.
