Description
The fire-and-forget 10 meters precision AASM 1000 bomb features a GPS/INS-based guidance system and is fitted with an Mk-84 2,000-lb class warhead. The Mk-84 warhead may be replaced by MBDA's CMP 1000 penetrator against targets made of hardened reinforced concrete. The bomb development was completed between 2022 and December 2024.
