Description

The AN/SPS-67 is a two-dimensional pulsed naval radar system manufactured by Northrop Grumman in the United States. Primarily designed for surface search and navigation, it also offers limited air search capabilities, including the detection of anti-ship missiles and low-flying aircraft. Operating in the C-band (5,450 to 5,825 MHz), the system utilizes horizontal linear polarization and features an integrated L-band IFF monopulse array antenna atop its C-band feed horn array. The AN/SPS-67 offers pulsewidths of 1 µs, 0.25 µs, and a very narrow 0.1 µs mode for enhanced navigation and resolution of small, short-range targets, while longer pulse modes are used for open-sea detection of medium and long-range targets up to 56 nautical miles (104 km).
