Description

The Runaway Attack Munition (RAM) is an air-launched cluster bomb containing dozens of air-dispersed submunitions intended to demolish enemy airfields by drilling holes throughout its length and width. Each piercing submunition is designed to penetrate thick concrete and asphalt runways. IMI developed the RAM munition to enable a single fighter aircraft to neutralize an entire aircraft for long periods of time. The Israel Air Force (IAF) is the primary customer of this weapon.
