Kh-38ME
The Tactical Missiles Corporation (KTRV) Kh-38ME is a modular, air-launched supersonic missile family designed to hit a wide range of armored and hardened ground targets, groups of targets as well as surface targets in littoral areas. These missiles are provided with a variety of guidance systems and warheads but sharing the same two-phase solid-propellant motor allowing a top speed of more than twice the speed of sound (Mach 2). The maximum range of the Kh-38ME missile system is 40 kilometers released from high altitude and carrying a 250 kg modular warhead with contact fuze. These missiles are available for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft. The Russian Air Force will deploy this new tactical missile onboard its fighter aircraft and attack helicopters such as the Su-30SM, Su-34, Su-35, Mig-29SMT, Mig-35, T-50 PAK FA and Ka-52. The Russian Air Force introduced the Kh-38ME missile system into active duty in the 2010-2012 timeframe.
