Description

The Irtysh-2RM (Cyrillic: «Иртыш-2РМ»), named after a major Russian river, is a naval navigation radar designed for riverine operations. Operating in the X-band (IEEE designation) or I-band (NATO designation) at a frequency of 9430 ±30 MHz, it is suitable for vessels with a displacement ranging from 1,600 to 10,000 register tons. The system utilizes waveguide slot antennas available in lengths of 2.4 m, 1.5 m, or 0.9 m, providing beamwidths of 0.95°, 1.5°, and 3.0° respectively, with an antenna rotation speed of 30 revolutions per minute. It features pulse repetition frequencies of 2048 Hz or 1024 Hz, pulsewidths of 0.05 µs, 0.2 µs, or 0.6 µs, a peak power of 3 kW, an instrumented range of 20 nautical miles (approximately 37 km), and an accuracy of 10 m and 1°.
