Description

The ROSC-1 is a Russian mobile radar-optical complex for perimeter security and counter-UAS operations. Developed by PJSC Almaz R&P Corp. (LEMZ Division) under the Almaz-Antey Concern, it integrates a 3-coordinate solid-state X-band radar, optical-electronic system (OES), electronic monitoring subsystem (SEM), electronic countermeasures subsystem (SEC), and built-in ADS-B receiver into a single KAMAZ-type truck chassis. SPECIFICATIONS Wavelength: 3 cm (X-band) Azimuth Coverage: 360 degrees Elevation Coverage: 0 to +30 degrees Detection Range (RCS 0.2 m2): 15 km minimum, at altitudes up to 1.5 km Minimum Range: 300 m Range Accuracy (RMSE): 10 m Azimuth Accuracy (RMSE): 0.2 degrees Elevation Accuracy (RMSE): 1 degree (in beam intersection zone) Rotation Period: 2.5 seconds Electronic Monitoring Frequency: 400-6000 MHz Direction Finding Method: Correlation-interferometric Direction Finding Accuracy (RMSE): 4 degrees Jamming Range (control channels): 2 km minimum Jamming Range (navigation channels): 2 km minimum ADS-B Range: 150 km minimum OES Azimuth: 0-360 degrees OES Elevation: -3 to +45 degrees OES Update Rate: 10 Hz minimum OES Pointing Accuracy: 0.3 degrees CAPABILITIES The complex provides comprehensive airspace control for detection and recognition of various air targets including small and low-speed UAVs. It is designed against small-class UAVs (RQ-11B Raven, RQ-7 Shadow), commercial quadcopters (DJI Phantom, DJI Mavic, DJI Spark), and multirotor UAVs capable of carrying explosives. The system can also be used for ornithological security in aerodrome areas. SYSTEM ARCHITECTURE All equipment is placed on a single KAMAZ-type truck chassis including radar under a radome on a hydraulic lift, operator workstation, diesel generator, OES on a bracket, SEM/SEC systems (can be removed for remote operation), and thermal management equipment. Stationary installation is also possible. Multiple complexes can work simultaneously to provide extended coverage. The radar features two-polarization operation, high range resolution, and adaptive long-range targeting. The composite bipolar antenna uses a direct drive rotation device. INTEGRATION ROSC-1 can interface with additional external OES systems, SEM/SEC systems, and UAV control systems. The built-in ADS-B set provides airspace monitoring and cooperative aircraft tracking at ranges exceeding 150 km.
