Description
The High Speed Support Vessel (HSSV) offers a range of capabilities to support naval operations including helicopter operations, rapid deployment of military personnel and cargo, and search and rescue (SAR) operations. The Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) awarded Austal a $125 million contract for the construction of two 72-meter vessels in March 2014. The RON took delivery of the lead ship, RNOV Al Mubshir, in May 2016.
