Udar
Udar
The Udar is an advanced unmanned ground combat vehicle (UGCV) developed by Rostec and featuring extensive user of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The Udar combat vehicle is based upon the BMP-3 tracked armored vehicle and is fully autonomous. The AI technology takes data from sensors and measurement devices and determines optimal paths while being capable of making decisions on battlefield engagements with hostile assets. The vehicle carries a multi-copter drone and can interact with unmanned air vehicles (UAVs) including tethered drones powered by the vehicle’s power unit. The Udar is a further development of the Vikhr unmanned combat vehicle showcased in 2015-2016. The control vehicle is based upon the Ural 4320 high mobility truck. The Udar unmanned ground combat vehicle was ready for field testing in February 2021. The Udar combat vehicle includes the Bumerang-BM weapon station with a 30mm 2A42 automatic cannon with 500 rounds, four Kornet-EM anti-tank guided missiles and a 7.62mm PKT coaxial machine gun with 2,000 rounds. The Russian Army might deploy the Udar in three variants: combat and reconnaissance, field engineer support vehicle and transportation/evacuation.
